At three hundred feet above sea level in the tranquil South Kona Kealakekua Bay Historical Reserve, the Inn is within walking distance of picturesque Kealakekua Bay and some of the most beautiful water in all the Hawaiian Islands. Perched hillside on a secluded lot up a private palm–lined drive, the Inn is surrounded by inviting island beauty: gracious grounds, mild weather, and a breathtakingly vast ocean view. Graced with understated modern interiors, four spacious guest rooms, and excellent amenities, Luana Inn offers an unforgettably relaxing experience in an area rich in Island spirit.

Luana Inn is a place of relaxation and rejuvenation. We offer: four oversized guestrooms (all with private entrances, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, cable TV with DVD player), excellent amenities (ocean-facing patio with pool and hot tub, wedding arch, wireless high speed internet access, guest workstation, guest common room, laundry and BBQ facilities), daily maid service, and homemade breakfasts in an inviting, understated, beautiful setting.

Area Attractions and Activities:

At only 300 feet elevation and less than one mile from the ocean, the Luana Inn offers the unique opportunity to stay in one of the most stunningly beautiful areas on the Big Island. From the Inn, guests may walk down to Napo'opo'o Beach and Kealakekua Bay, known for some of the best snorkeling in all the Hawaiian Islands, or they can drive four miles to the City of Refuge National Park, Pu'uhonua O Honaunau, to explore important cultural sites and snorkel at Two Step. We are within walking distance of quiet local beaches and beautiful water perfect for swimming, kayaking, and diving in addition to snorkeling. With lovely winding roads bordered by coffee, flowers, and fruit trees, our neighborhood is also an excellent place for walking, running, biking, and farm tours. Although an excellent base from which to explore the entire island, the Inn is located in a quiet area off the main highway, surrounded by silence and natural beauty.

The Alaula (sunglow) Suite is an airy, spacious one-room suite that offers: private entrance, kitchenette, King bed, private bathroom, air conditioning, TV/DVD, wireless access, and its own small, private porch.
