Talkeetna Roadhouse
Talkeetna, Alaska.
The Roadhouse, built around 1917, is one of the oldest establishments in "Beautiful Downtown Talkeetna." Our kitchen is open to the public, famous for breakfast, hearty soups, homestyle baking, genuine frontier hospitality, cozy rooms, bunks and cabins.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

The guest rooms range from private to hostel-style to rustic cabins and the Museum Apartment. Bathrooms are "down the hall" in typical Roadhouse fashion. One of our cabins and the Museum Apartment both have private bathrooms. Although, Trapper John's Cabin still has a 5-Star Outhouse (in addition to its bathroom) for those wanting to have a truly authentic experience! Breakfast is a separate charge but we provide our guests with coffee, cocoa and tea throughout their stay.
Modern day adventurers, local residents and visitors alike, come to us for huge home-cooked breakfasts, lively conversation, strong coffee, gigantic cinnamon rolls, hand rolled bagels and all sorts of goodies made each day from scratch. The Standard Roadhouse Breakfast: scrambled eggs, peppered bacon, thick sliced toast. Other breakfast offerings include our 1902 Sourdough Hotcakes and Biscuits-n-Gravy (reindeer). Our Not Breakfast menu includes Lasagna, homemade Mac-n-Cheese, pasties, Reindeer Chili, hearty soups and green salads. Featured desserts are our Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding, assortment of homemade fruit and cream pies, cakes (Granny's Chocolate Potato, Red Velvet and Honey Bunny's Carrot Cake), cookies, brownies, fudge and Peanut Butter Bombs.
