Bed and Breakfast Description

Southwest Harbor, Maine bed and breakfast: Penury Hall

Since 1982, Penury Hall (we were the first B&B on Mt. Desert Island), an historic property built in 1830 in Southwest Harbor, has welcomed many visitors through its distinctive red front door.

We enjoy sharing our love of fine arts, antiques, gardening, books and sailing with our guests. Private baths of course, and breakfast ranges from Eggs Benedict, Cinnamon Waffles, Penurious Omelet to Blueberry Pancakes and beyond, a different one served every day.
