Story Village is an 1850's rural town nestled in the hills of Brown County, IN, a place known for covered bridges, clapboard churches, weather-beaten barns, & splendid fall foliage.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Award-winning fine dining, wedding package, overnight rooms and unique gifts. We have 13 comfortable rooms and cottages, all with private baths and A/C, some with hot tubs, kitchenettes, private decks.

Flagship restaurant serving eclectic Southern Indiana cuisine. Here you will experience real food. Our biscuits and pancakes are always made from scratch. You may drench them in real maple syrup, gathered and boiled locally. We buy our eggs from local farmers. Our produce and herbs are vine-ripened and grown locally (season permitting).

Brown County State Park, shopping, live theatre, Salt Creek Golf Course (championship course), skiing, hiking, biking, mountain biking, horseback riding, motorcycle tours, boating and swimming.

Most Popular Rooms:

Wheeler Cottage: Front unit, 1850's frame house with a tin roof; the front of the house has been tastefully renovated into a B&B unit with a large hot tub and mural.

The Old Mill Loft: Located in a mid-19th Century frame building that once served as an old sawmill. Indoor greenhouse, king-sized bed, 250 gallon horse trough serves as a bath tub. Unique accommodation for the venturesome!
