Originally built as a boarding house, this grand old structure now serves guests visiting both Zion and Bryce National Parks. Area Attractions and Activities:

The southwest United States can be characterized by deserts and mountain ranges forming valleys and basins which, in the right light, are spectacular. Photographers can spend their sighted hours shooting pictures until they run out of space on their cameras. So many great areas surround Smith Hotel it would take weeks see them all. Here are a few of our favorites.

The two national parks Zion and Bryce are truly closest to the hotel. Nearly 100% of our guests visit these parks while staying with us. Bryce is a one hour, beautiful, drive north, this drive takes you along rivers and between two mountains. Red Rock Canyon sit at the entrance of Bryce framing it’s marvelous entrance. A great days drive from Bryce National Park to Boulder UT on Hwy 12 is one of the best in the area. Very manageable in a single day the Anastasi State Park in Boulders is well worth seeing. Don’t miss the Burr trail for a slot like canyon drive for cars starting from there.
