There is a place in southwestern Vermont where back roads lead to lush horse farms, where peace and quiet abound. The air is cool all summer long and vistas stretch for miles. That place is Meadowood Farm, a decidedly unique mountaintop experience.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Stay in our classic farmhouse. Two large guest rooms have king beds, sitting areas with TV and private bathrooms. Two other rooms in the farmhouse share a bathroom and are perfect for a family of three or four. A new addition to our farmhouse offers a luxury suite with king bed, sitting area, TV, private bathroom with separate custom tile shower and Whirlpool tub and separate anti-room with wet bar and day bed.

For stays of one week or more, a one-bedroom apartment is offered. The apartment has a king bed in the bedroom, private bathroom, great room with daybed and trundle, two TVs, sitting area, dining area, and full kitchen with laundry facilities.

A full country breakfast is included with your stay. As experienced innkeepers, we place our guests' comfort as our highest priority.

Meadowood Farm is pet-friendly. There is a seasonally dependant minimal charge for a well-behaved dog. A horse may be boarded at our neighbor's stable barn for $35 per night.

Meadowood Farm is close to Bennington and Manchester Vermont, yet a world apart. On 18 acres, Meadowood is a safe haven of Vermont forest, fields and meadows. Take in the panoramic views of Mount Anthony, Mount Graylock, the Bennington Monument and the entire Bennington Valley.

Bring your horse and/or trail ride at a neighboring stable. Hike through our meadow and woods to enjoy freedom and fresh air. Peace and quiet await.

Meadowood Farm is run exclusively by experienced owners. The complimentary breakfast consists of several courses; homemade muffins, fruit, sweet dishes, Meadowood Farm greens with egg entrees. We use our own maple syrup from our acres of maple trees; grow our own herbs and greens; and have free range chickens that lay eggs of many colors.

Most Popular Rooms:

The luxury suite at Meadowood Farm has a massive king bed and spacious tile bathroom under a vaulted ceiling of Douglas fur paneling with high beams. Through a picture window it overlooks our five-acre meadow, a brook, forest, and the mountains beyond.

Originally the master bedroom of the farmhouse, the Haflinger Room has a king four-poster bed. The large blue/green floral room has wood flooring, antiques, twin closets, sitting area, TV, and bathroom with soaking tub and separate tile shower.
