Our Place Inn & Cottages

North Haven Island, Maine.

Our Place Inn is a renovated 19th century farmhouse with 4 self-contained cottages. A lighthouse cottage is completed. We offer comfortable accommodations in an informal and relaxed setting.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

The Main House offers 5 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 twin bed, three with private bath and two that share a bath. We currently have 4 cottages, each has 1 bedroom, bath, kitchen and sitting room with pull-out sleeper sofa. We have bicycles for your use as well. We prefer weekly rentals but will take dailies when available during the summer months.

North Haven Island is a 12-mile ride from the mainland by ferry. This unique spot was first settled in 1774 and is nine by three miles in size with a year round population of about 350. The island is a treat for naturalists and photographers. The Maine State Ferry Service offers three ferries to North Haven daily. Check its website for schedules and prices. Island transportation to and from the ferry terminal on North Haven is provided when possible.

Island activities include sailing, golf, bicycling, long walk and jogging on 25 miles of winding country roads. In town there are two gift shops and art galleries, all featuring island craftspeople and artists. During the summer months, there are two restaurants open. There are also boatyards, a general grocery market, library, post office, medical clinic and churches.
