The Rose Farm Inn is known for its natural setting, romantic rooms and informal hospitality. A working farm until 1963, the twenty acres of farmland are now home to marsh hawks, ring-necked pheasant and white-tailed deer.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Block Island, Rhode Island bed and breakfast: The Rose Farm Inn

The Rose Farm Inn has a peaceful sea and country setting only a few minutes walk from the village and beaches. Block Island’s proximity to New York, New Jersey and neighboring New England States makes it an easy and ideal vacation destination. Here the lure of the ocean beckons you to miles of pristine beaches and breathtaking seascapes.

The Farm House offers eight rooms with private baths with large tile showers. Two rooms share a bath and are ideal for families or couples traveling together. The Farm House rooms are entered from interior halls. The most elegant rooms have a king size canopy bed and ocean view. Bordered by stone walls and flower gardens, the Farm House has a shady front porch and a comfortable sundeck where guests may relax and enjoy quiet moments.

The Captain Rose House offers nine rooms with private baths. The first floor rooms have impressive two person whirlpool baths. They have their own front porch entrances and open onto a shaded deck overlooking rolling fields. The upstairs rooms are entered from a second story deck overlooking the farm. Each has a large ocean view dormer which creates a unique sitting area. The bathrooms have a single whirlpool tub and shower. With windows facing the prevailing breeze, the rooms in the Captain Rose House are always cool and fresh with sea air.

Our new suite in the Meadow View House comfortably accommodates families or groups. It includes all the amenities for an extended summer vacation or a short getaway.
