Bed and Breakfast Description

Surrounded by Arapahoe National Forest and with a river running through it, Western Skies is a peaceful, friendly alternative to the crowded tourist areas of Summit County, yet is within five miles of the activities of Keystone Resort.

The Cabins are an ideal choice for couples seeking a quiet getaway. Each has a cozy sitting area with loveseat, woodburning stove (wood is provided), TV and VCR. An eat-in mini-kitchen with under-counter fridge, microwave, sink and coffee pot is perfect for preparing light meals. The cabins have a queen sized bed, bath with tiled shower, telephone and CD player.

During the summer months, guests may relax on their sunny cabin deck while watching the hummingbirds at their feeder, and deer or chipmunks scurrying about.

Wake up to breakfast served at window seat tables for two overlooking the Snake River. After a day of skiing, hiking or sightseeing, relax in front of the living room's pellet stove with a good book.

The cabins and lodge are open year round. Which ever season is your favorite, your mountain innkeepers invite you to share in the beauty, the freshness and the spirit of the Colorado Rockies at Western Skies...a mountain bed & breakfast.

Area Attractions and Activities:

In the summer, guests may hike, bike and fish from our door, or find a good spot along the river to picnic, read, or relax. Keystone Resort, located 4.3 miles away, offers horseback riding, biking and two 18-hole golf courses, as well as weekend festivals.

In the wintertime, when the snow piles high, guests may cross-country ski and snowshoe from our door or relax in front of a fire with a good book or their special someone. Or for more adventure, Keystone Ski Resort offers downhill skiing, ice skating, sleigh rides, tubing and snow biking.

There are numerous nearby towns to explore. Breckenridge and Frisco, rich in mining history, are now home to unique shops. Silverthorne and Dillon have top name factory outlets.

Keytone Ranch, Alpenglow Stube and Ski Tip Lodge, three of the finest restaurants in Colorado, are located at Keystone Resort. Whether you prefer an on-the-go vacation or one that allows for quiet relaxation, you can find both at Western Skies Bed & Breakfast.
