Murphin Ridge Inn, a perfect spot for pleasure and relaxation, nestled in Southwestern Ohio's Amish country. Ten elegantly appointed guestrooms and 6 unique, private log cabins with all the luxuries.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Situated on 142 acres of rolling woodland and farmland with breath-taking vistas of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, family vacation or business retreat.

Our Guest House offers ten guest rooms, each furnished uniquely with hand-built reproductions of American 18th century and Shaker furniture. These rooms have 1 or 2 queen-size beds, full private bath and A/C. Fireplaces and/or private porches can be found in some of the rooms. Many rooms also feature trundle beds. The Guest House also features a large gathering room with board games, jigsaw puzzles and some of Sherry's favorite books.

Nine hand-built cabins, each with a whirlpool tub, fireplace, queen or king-size bed, heating and air conditioning are nestled among large oak and maple trees and have a front porch furnished with comfortable chairs, perfect for quiet reflection or a romantic hideaway.

A bountiful country breakfast is included in the price of your stay. Sherry lovingly prepares from scratch baked goods and delicious house specialties, such as Foggy Bottom Pancakes, Cream biscuits with Sausage Gravy, and Farmer's Scramble. Inn-made granola, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fresh fruit complete the menu.

The Dining House is open to Inn guests 7 days a week for breakfast and dinner. Reservations recommended. Fine spirits, wines, and assorted beers now available for dinner Monday through Saturday.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Explore the Inn's hiking trails with Red Dog as your guide and discover gorgeous waterfalls and historic vantage points. If the itch of adventure strikes you, drive through the small towns that surround the Inn, and explore the antique and Amish handcraft and bakery shops.

Adams Lake State Park permits fishing and boating (non-powered and electric motors only) on the 47-acre lake. Picnic tables and restrooms are located throughout the 95-acre park. An adjacent prairie, rich in natural diversity, provides hiking trails.

Edge of Appalachia Preserve nature preserve is owned and managed by the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History and Science and the Nature Conservancy.

Hilltop Golf Course, an 18-hole course, is open year-round.

The Guest House offers ten guestrooms, each furnished with custom handmade furniture of David T. Smith, one or two queen-size beds, a full private bath and air conditioning.
