Scofield House

Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Luxury and comfort are yours to enjoy, when you surround yourself in the ambiance of the Scofield House.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin bed and breakfast: Scofield House

Experience a warm welcome and a traditional, authentic bed and breakfast. Visit the Scofield House in Sturgeon Bay, where a pleasing mix of old Victorian elegance and modern contemporary conveniences join together to provide you with the perfect place for rest and relaxation.

Built in 1902 for a local businessman and his family, the Scofield House reflects the opulence of "high" Victorian architecture. Sunlight streams through beveled crystal and stained glass windows. The window and doorframes are ornamented with hand-carved bows, ribbons, swags, and flowers. Original hardwood floors are inlaid with red and white oak, maple and cherry.

Six guestrooms, each with private bath, are distinctly decorated, inviting intimacy and romance. Old-world charm is evident in the many fine antiques, including gorgeous 19th century bed frames. Drift off to sleep on a plush mattress dressed in fine bedding. Televisions, VCR's, and stereos are concealed in antique armoires or behind shuttered doors.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the Scofield House is within walking distance to many of Sturgeon Bay’s specialty shops, fine and casual dining, and museums. Numerous activities abound in Door County and the Scofield House is an ideal location from which to explore the "Door."

Also available is our 9th Avenue Guest House. A whole house rental, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, dining room, family room, and living room w/gas fireplace.
