Bed and Breakfast Description

Experience the tranquility of our secluded, rural setting, centrally located to explore Santa Fe, Taos, Bandelier National Park, the 8 northern New Mexico pueblos, hot mineral springs, Abiquiu (Georgia O’Keeffe Country) and much more!
The B&B sits on 6 acres (¼ mile off of the road), in the historic village of Chimayo, just off of the “high road to Taos,” one of the most magnificent drives that you will ever experience.
Chimayo will provide you with a truly authentic, New Mexico experience. At an elevation of 6,300 feet, you will find that the air is clear and the expansive views of the mountains, pastures, foothills and sunsets are all breathtaking. The saltillo tile floors, vigas and kiva fireplaces, all add to the rustic charm.
We have 8 wonderful guest rooms, filled with handpicked antiques and accented in a rustic southwest style. A bountiful breakfast is served in our inviting breakfast room. Enjoy an evening fire or relax after a day of sightseeing in our outdoor hot tub.
We have no TVs on the entire property. We accept pets in 4 of our 8 guestrooms. Enhance your stay by procuring one of our specialty packages to create the perfect birthday, romance or anniversary getaway.
For total relaxation, ask one of our staff members to schedule an in-room massage for you, with one of our licensed massage therapists. Casa Escondida is also an exceptional setting for intimate weddings, receptions, seminars, retreats, workshops, reunions, etc.
