![]() Located just 15 miles from Buffalo, NY's International Airport and 20 minutes from Niagara Falls and Lake Ontario. Hambleton House was the circa 1850s home of Lockport carriage maker Alan Baright. Open year round, this B&B offers three guest rooms; each has a private bath, air conditioning and a distinctive character of its own. A delicate blending of the past and present, the home is graced with wrap around porches, glistening hardwood floors, high molded ceilings, crystal chandeliers, tall windows and clawfoot bathtubs. Art painted by current owner/artist Joan Hambleton adds to the home's bright and cheery atmosphere. The largest bedroom sleeps four people and is located on the first floor. A grand staircase leads to the second floor where there are two more spacious guest rooms, a large parlor with a library and cable television, and a dining room. Guests are served a continental breakfast of fruits, sweet breads, cereal and coffee. Let us know if you have special dietary requirements. Area Attractions and Activities: Hambleton House bed and breakfast is a short walk to Lockport's Main Street and the historic Lock 35 on the old Erie Barge Canal. Fun things to do in Lockport include the Erie Canal Museum, trolley rides, the Keenan Art Gallery, antiqueing and touring the canal by boat. There is also a tour of the caves carved long ago out of solid rock to power the locks. Other popular attractions in our area include the famous Niagara Falls, Erie Canal barge trips, Erie Canal cruiser rentals, Buffalo's art galleries and theater, the Artpark, Old Fort Niagara, Lake Ontario, Power Vista, Prime Out Mall, Casino Niagara, Canada, the Butterfly Conservatory and Niagara On The Lake.
