Bed and Breakfast Description

South Haven, Michigan bed and breakfast: Seymour House

Featured in Country Magazine Dec. 96/Jan. 97 and Michigan Living, Sept. 1997, The Seymour House is a beautiful brick Italianate style mansion built by William H. Seymour in 1862. Located on 11 acres, it is a picturesque country estate 1/2 mile from Lake Michigan. The grounds are complete with maintained nature trails and a stocked 1-acre pond. Five tastefully decorated guest rooms, large guest living room with fireplace and a library with books and movies, as well as a two bedroom log cabin are all featured on our grounds. Our Inn also makes a lovely place for weddings and retreats. For our B&B guests a beautifully-presented gourmet breakfast awaits you each morning.

Breakfast time is a special time at The Seymour House, and here's what you can expect: A special blend of fresh-ground coffee, juice, seasonal fresh fruit, muffins or bread, and a hot entree. A typical breakfast might include Palatschinken (a Viennese type of pancake) with Michigan blueberry jam, or stuffed French Toast with pure Michigan maple syrup and savory sausage. With advance notice we will accommodate special diet needs.

The Seymour House offers you a choice of five creatively theme-decorated rooms. All rooms have private baths, some rooms have a fireplace or Jacuzzi, queen or king size beds. Our B&B also features central air conditioning. All rooms look out over spacious grounds and magnificent large trees.
