![]() The Historic Young House was built in the early 1900s by Millinocket's first druggist, William J. Heebner. The home was later purchased by Gilbert Moran who owned one of the first department stores in town. In the mid-1950s, Doctor and Mrs. Ernest T. Young made this their home and it is for them that The Young House is named Upon arriving in Milliocket with the dream of one day owning a bed and breakfast, we had been told that the Young house would be a perfect place for a B&B. So, look at it we did and we fell in love with it immediately. Since many of the townspeople already referred to this beautiful home as "the Young house", we thought it only fitting to name it after a beloved doctor and his wife. We hope that you enjoy our home as much as we do. Area Attractions and Activities: Welcome to the Katahdin region of Maine, the ultimate in four season family fun!
