 Distinctively decorated guestrooms, comfortable common areas, 150 woodland acres with wildflowers, a bird sanctuary, and llamas provide space to relax and rejuvenate the body and spirit. Miles of wilderness ski or hiking trails and the Battenkill River provide seasonal outdoor activities. A hearty breakfast, complete with apple pie, and a savory country dinner in front of an open hearth, complement your stay. The Inn offers our guests a choice of eighteen rooms and suites, in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, located in three buildings: the Inn, the Cottage in the Pines and the historic Millhouse. Each is unique, individually and distinctively decorated in a country style. All have private bath, and Gwendolyn's Room offers barrier-free access. Like the rest of the Inn, all rooms are smoke-free. In our guestrooms, our friends will find fresh fruit, a trail map welcoming them to hike our "back forty," and an innkeeper-written guide to southern Vermont, which includes several self-guided day trips, bike loops, and hiking tours. Of course, West Mountain Inn tradition also requires that each visitor return home with an African violet. We've added a wonderful conference room, which is also used for lovely inside weddings during the winter and early spring seasons. Vegetarian dining, conferences, spa nearby.
