Bed and Breakfast Description

Arlington, Vermont bed and breakfast: Arlington's West Mountain Inn

Nestled on 150 mountainside acres overlooking the Battenkill Valley, the century-old West Mountain Inn has been welcoming travelers with warmth and hospitality for the last 30 years. The Inn offers romantic, antique-filled guest rooms, fantastic views, extensive gardens, and fabulous dining ... all providing the perfect get-away to relax and rewind! Discover why we have been chosen a "Fodor's Choice" and a Yankee Travel Guide "Editor's Pick". The Trip Advisor #1 rated inn in Arlington.

The Inn offers our guests a choice of eighteen rooms and suites, in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, located in three buildings: the Inn, the Cottage in the Pines and the historic Millhouse. Each is unique, individually and distinctively decorated in a country style. All have private bath, and Gwendolyn's Room offers barrier-free access. Like the rest of the Inn, all rooms are smoke-free.

In our guestrooms, our friends will find fresh fruit, a trail map welcoming them to hike our "back forty," and an innkeeper-written guide to southern Vermont, which includes several self-guided day trips, bike loops, and hiking tours. Of course, West Mountain Inn tradition also requires that each visitor return home with an African violet.

We have a century-old barn for gala events, a smaller conference room, for retreats or intimate inside weddings during the winter and early spring seasons. Gourmet dining, retreats & conferences, Weddings a specialty!
