Bed and Breakfast Description

The Lotus Lake House is a completely "green" contemporary house designed by the award-winning architect Michelle Kaufmann for the 2007 West Coast Green conference in San Francisco. It's a sleek modern design, lots of windows and cool welcoming tones. As Michelle says, "this house has more love per square foot than any other I have known". We are completely off-grid and have "Build it Green" certification.

It is situated on 8+ acres of private forested property. We cleared just enough trees to have fabulous views of Rollins Lake. The glass walls open to the outdoors - blending indoor and outdoor living and making the house feel quite large. Bird watchers will love the rare birds that can be seen from our deck.

Our home is ideal for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or for an artist/writer retreat, especially those who want to support the environment. Secluded yet close to many activities. Brand new high end furnishings that compliment our eco-friendly home. As seen in Sunset Magazine, this was the showcase home at the 2007 West Coast Green Show.

Our favorite room is the living room which is surrounded by glass walls that completely open up to the 1500 sq ft deck, the forest and amazing lake views. Actually, our favorite "room" is the deck!
