Bed and Breakfast Description

The home was built by Capt & Ms Devereaux Shields between 1893-1904 and cared for over the years by only a few owners. Our property includes Aunt Clara's Cottage, which provides four spacious rooms in a charming 1873 Victorian formerly of The Burn Bed & Breakfast Inn. Ron and Eleanor Fry are the current owners and proprietors of the Devereaux Shields House and Aunt Clara’s Cottage.

All six guest rooms feature period antique furnishings, cable TV, central Heat/A/C, WiFi, and have private baths. Common areas include sitting areas for relaxing and reading, and relaxing gardens to stroll through.

Our home is just a few blocks from the 200-ft high Natchez Bluffs, which offers a stunning view of the Mississippi River for several miles in both directions. The Gallery Room: Romantic grand room on top level. Opens to large private gallery overlooking garden. King-size bed with Victorian headboard, fireplace (for viewing ambiance only), comfortable Victorian seating area in turret & private bath with shower.

Aunt Clara's Cottage: Four spacious rooms in a charming 1873 Victorian with heart pine floors, large veranda, ample sitting areas and spacious breakfast and meeting room for events. Located a couple doors from the main Devereaux Shields House.
