Goldsmith Denniston B&B
Newburgh, New York.
Denniston House is an elegant Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the historic district of Newburgh, New York — the gateway to the Hudson Valley. Denniston House offers comfort, elegance and good food in a setting convenient to the many area attractions.
Bed and Breakfast Description

This Federal-style house was built about 1820 for Mr. Goldsmith Denniston, a local attorney who later moved to Albany to serve in the New York State legislature. Modified in the 1880s with the addition of a bay window and marble fireplaces, the house was updated in 2001-04 by its present owners, caterer Nancy Billman and landscape painter Peter Billman.
Denniston House offer four rooms, all with high ceilings, large windows, and private bathrooms. The four rooms open from a common hallway on the same floor. Each air-conditioned room is decorated in a style reminiscent of former owners, from Federal to Victorian, with a queen-size bed and private bath.
Breakfast is served in a light-filled dining room of exquisite elegance.
Dinners and guest parties for up to 75 can be accommodated, with notice and additional rates. Owner Nancy Billman is a caterer; she maintains a complete professional kitchen on site.
