Whether you like to bike, hike, sail, swim, eat in great restaurants, wine, beer, artisan cheeses, classical, blues or folk music, shopping, crafts, horse back riding, Shelburne Museum and Farm, teddy bears, ferry rides, fairs, festivals, concerts or ice cream - or simply some of New England's most breathtaking countryside - this astonishing array is all within a 20-mile radius of the Inn at Charlotte. The Inn is approximately 20 minutes from Burlington and 25 minutes from Middlebury.

After a night in a comfortable bed in one of our spacious, well-appointed, private rooms, your morning begins with a hot cup of delicious fair-trade coffee. Breakfast is served in the Mexican-tiled Common Room, pull up to a cup of fresh fruit and our generous hot home-cooked breakfast!

Sit in one of our Italian leather couches and read a newspaper, check your e-mail or chat with other guests. Relax on the deck or under the pergola by the pool and read a book. Play a game of tennis, hoops or bocce ball. From the inn, take a hike or a drive to the top of Mt. Philo - the view of the valley, Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks beyond will take your breath away!

Attractions include Shelburne Museum, Maritime Museum, Middlebury College, The Charlotte Berry Farm, The Pelkey Berry Farm, Wildflower Farm, and the Morgan Horse Farm.

Most Popular Rooms:

Cottage Room: This is a quaint stand-alone building with Mexican tile floors and a queen size bed. It also has a private bath, air conditioning and TV.

Garden Room: This room features a king sized bed, cathedral ceilings, glass on three sides with heavy curtains for privacy. Steps out onto deck on two sides, overlooks pool and tennis court, private bath, private entrance, A/C, TV.
