Private vacation village for 2 to 28, a one minute walk from Poipu Beach. Our 4 cottages are perfect for family reunions, weddings, families traveling with kids and meetings, but we're located right in the middle of everything Poipu Resort area offers.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Staying at Hale Pohaku is like spending your vacation in your own private vacation village with the ocean only a minute away.

Within our half-acre village are two fully restored 2 br/1 bath 1940s plantation cottages, a third larger cottage, and our 5 br/3 bath Manager's House built in 1954. Units can be rented individually to accommodate from 2 (in our studio) up to 28 people (the entire place) with a minimum 2 night stay.

Wedding parties and family reunions love us because individual groups have their privacy, but our large yard is perfect for setting up tents and tables for celebrations and gatherings. We are also a perfect venue for small business meetings.

Each of our cottages is designed to give you the ultimate in home-away-from-home comfort. The kitchens all include full-sized appliances (including dishwashers), plus just about every small appliance we can think of. Each property also has its own washer and dryer.

Wireless broadband internet is available at no additional charge

We're tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in the middle of the Poipu Beach resort area with everything it has to offer less than 3 miles away, from the lookout at Spouting Horn to the stores in Koloa Town. Two different restaurants are about a five minute walk away.

There are lots of fun activities and things to do on Kauai such as Napali Coast Boat Tours, helicopter tours, Zipline Tours, tubing, deep sea fishing, ATV Tours, Eco Tours, kayaking, horseback riding, movie tours and much more. Surf board rentals and lessons are available about a 5 minute walk away.

Since three of the four cottages at Hale Pohaku are from the 1940s and fifties, I've tried to follow through with the old feel Hawaii had back then. Each cottage has it's own character, and color scheme, from Polynesia to Deco.

The Studio Suite: With its full kitchen, private bath and queen bed, the 420 square foot studio suite is perfect for couples.
