Welcome to the historic and romantic Silver Queen, our bed and breakfast in Georgetown, Colorado. This 1892 Victorian Second Empire home is nestled in the Colorado Rockies, just 45 miles west of Denver. Located in the charming 19th Century mining town of Georgetown, widely known as the “Silver Queen of the Rockies”, the area has been designated as a National Historic Landmark District. Here you can experience the romance of a bygone era and enjoy the many activities the Colorado mountains have to offer.

The Parlor features a grand carved fireplace that beckons guests to relax and converse. Overlooking the gardens and spectacular mountain views is the Library/Music Room, where a cozy leather sofa invites you to curl up with a good book and the 1890s piano might entice you to sit down and play.

A Sitting Room features a flat screen HD television. You can enjoy your full Gourmet Breakfast in the formal Dining Room beside a glowing gas coal fireplace or at the antique farm table in the sunny Breakfast Room. Each of the three guest rooms is furnished in its own unique style – traditional Victorian, charming Country French, soothing Swedish. They are true master suites with a queen-size bed, gas fireplace, writing desk, ceiling fan, ample closet and storage space and a seating area. Each suite has its own master bath with a jetted tub, 2 vanity sinks with storage, walk-in shower,a separate water closet, and makeup mirror.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Famous among railroad enthusiasts, the narrow-gauge Georgetown Loop Railroad offers a ride and tour that is fun for the whole family. Visitors thrill to the traverse over the High Bridge, a 300-foot trestle that is 90 feet above Clear Creek. The train winds through 450 acres of wooded mountain land, past the Lebanon Mine Complex, which can also be toured as part of the excursion, and up to the original Silver Plume depot.

Georgetown and Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District offers many 19th Century buildings having great historic and architectural significance, while the town itself has a rich mining heritage. Or choose to experience one of the many world-class ski resorts within an hour of Georgetown.

Round out your trip with a visit to a summer concert in the Georgetown's city park or a show at the Central City Opera. Unique events, festivals and celebrations are available through out the year.

The William & Priscilla Hamill Room is furnished with beautiful Victorian antiques, an elegant fireplace and a lavish bath with 2 marble vanities, a dressing table, steam shower and jetted tub.

The Louis Dupuy Room, named after the builder of the Hotel de Paris, features French antiques, a cozy fireplace and a handsome master bath with 2 hand-painted sinks in a marble topped dresser, a two person whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower.


Reservation Notes:

Single Room cancellations must be made by 12:00 noon, 14 days (21 days for holidays and special events) prior to the arrival date for a refund less the processing fee. Cancellations made after that time will forfeit the deposit. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival date and “no shows” will be charged for the entire reservation. Multiple Room cancellations must be made by 12:00 noon, 21 days (30 days for holidays and special events) prior to the arrival for a refund less the processing fee.
