![]() In 1878 an Englishman named James A. Mulvey laid down his money and a dream on an acre of land in the St. Croix River boomtown of Stillwater. Stillwater became the historic birthplace of Minnesota. Mulvey became a prosperous lumberman – now the dream is yours to find in the place Mulvey began his. When you stroll through the huge white pines that accent this magical acre in the middle of Stillwater, pause beneath the reaching arms of Mr. Mulvey’s black walnut trees. May the dreams you plant there grow to reality in the years to come. Our amenities include: private baths, whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, balconies, CD players, an extensive library, arrival refreshments, wireless Internet, mountain bikes, croquet, and a picnic basket. This is a place of rest, romance, and being served in an atmosphere of incredible beauty. The perfect place for your next special occasion! Guests at our Inn have been the primary advocates for its extended use for private party tea lunches, weddings, and business occasions.
