Bed and Breakfast Description

Savannah, Georgia bed and breakfast: The Confederate House

The citizens of Savannah have an affection for the past that goes far beyond most cities. To us we feel that it is our past, that gives us our strength and traditions. So when you enter this magnificently restored 1854 mansion, you will still see the traditions that are behind the meaning of Southern hospitality.

Taking eleven years to restore to its original antebellum splendor, the Confederate House is one of Savannah best examples of Greek revival architecture. No detail was left out of the restoration, from importing crystal chandeliers, mahogany doors, and marble floors. It is like stepping back to the day it was built in 1854.

The Guest rooms are tastefully and uniquely furnished with period furnishings as well as modern amenities and private bath. Each guest will be sure to enjoy the comfort, and convenience of the most elegant property in the City of Savannah.
