Britta's Inn Bed and Breakfast, a 1914 restored "Craftsman" was designed by renowned architect John Wicks.

Cozy up to the fireplace or view the 1920's designed "green" garden through the bay window. Admire the 15' tall camellia and rhododendrons on fern hill. Azaleas and an 80-year-old wisteria compete for your gaze.

Designed for elegant comfort, this lovely living room, the "salon", will ease tension and strain. Recline in the chair or relax on the couch in front of the fireplace... or, if you must keep connected, use the high-speed Internet.

A full breakfast is served in the classic Craftsman dining room with whirled fir walls and leaded glass windows. On a warm day, enjoy the garden patio.

Created with the finest organic, local and natural ingredients, Britta's prides itself on healthy fare, with a delicate presentation. Breakfast times are flexible between 8:30-9:30am, with fresh fruit, juices, tea and coffee. Additional offerings include frittata, omelettes, Belgian waffles or Rona's Swedish pancakes!

Early morning coffee, tea and fruit are available.
Complimentary bottled water, fruit, cookies, and tea available throughout the day.

For your enjoyment, we have a collection of classic and contemporary DVDs; including movies made in the area, Oregon literature, local menus and regional things to do.

Because Britta's Inn B&B has only 2 guest rooms, it is perfect lodging to meet other interesting guests or for 2 couples traveling together.

Britta's Inn, overlooking the Columbia River, is located in one of Astoria's original, historic neighborhoods, just a five to ten minute walk to downtown, the Liberty Theatre, fine restaurants, historic homes, the River Walk Trail, free shuttles to Fort Clatsop, the wonderful Maritime Museum, and within a twenty minute walk to the Astoria Column!

Astoria is the oldest town west of the Rockies, originally settled by fur traders working for John Jacob Astor.

The 2005-2006 winter marked the bi-centennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition reaching the Pacific Ocean.

All of this and at one of the Country's most unique and aesthetic areas; at the mouth of the Columbia River. Watch the sandbar pilots guide shipping past the sandbar, listen to seals bark in the afternoon, enjoy the beauty of the bridge, or peruse the many shops along the waterfront.
