Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Nestled in picturesque rolling hills, our resort offers 45 acres with a variety of birds, wildlife, and nature experiences including trails and the winding Adventure Creek. Enjoy campfires and the unparalled night sky! When the stars come out, you can see them all from horizon to horizon - no light pollution 4 miles south of Galena. Ruth and Frank are the local experts in relaxing. They will be glad to respond to any questions you might have about the property. The Netzels will also show you their alpacas: quiet, stately, regal animals that are friendly to people - especially to smaller children.
Each one-room, 650+ sq ft log cabin has an open loft (2nd bedroom) and a modern separate bath with 6-ft double-whirlpool tub and a skylight to enjoy the stars. All cabins are hand¬chinked hewn logs of cedar and red pine with all-pine floors and ceilings. In fact all major parts are constructed without nails.Each cabin has central gas forced-air heat; central air, 4 cu ft refrigerator, gas fireplace, 250 satellite TV channels, CO/DVO player, and comfortable platform rockers. With a luxurious queen bed on main floor and a double bed in loft.
Enjoy great views of the Mississippi River. Learn about Native American mound building, especially the thunderbird effigy mound and 5l burial mounds over 750 years old. Come hike the oak savannas and hill prairies or snowshoe/cross-country ski.
