Bed and Breakfast Description

Waitsfield, Vermont bed and breakfast: Millbrook Inn & Restaurant

Millbrook Country Inn & Restaurant is a classic cape-style farm house built by Jack Dana in the 1850's. He located his farmhouse close to his lumber and brick mills on the nearby Mill Brook. Today the mills are long gone and Millbrook Inn's picturesque setting is midway between the ski slopes and the village of Waitsfield on scenic Mill Brook Road (Route 17).

Henry & Ginny Perkins purchased Millbrook Country Inn in 1948 from Jack Dana's estate and turned it into a bed and breakfast inn the same year that skiers first schussed the slopes of Mad River Glen. Since 1979, innkeepers Joan & Thom Gorman have maintained the renowned Vermont innkeeping tradition of personalized service in a friendly, unhurried atmosphere.

Wonderful restaurant serving exquisite gourmet cuisine. Candlelit dinners, vegetarian and international food made from fresh local ingredients.

The Octagon is a two-bedroom two-bathroom fully furnished and equipped rental house on our property ideal for a family.
