Bed and Breakfast Description

We offer five unique guest rooms; each filled with antiques, and all with queen beds, private bath and view of the lake. Most of the rooms have hardwood floors and original moldings. There are two marble fireplaces. The Lakeview and Vineyard Room are located in the oldest part of the house and open with skeleton keys. The Colonial Room occupies the former upstairs porch and the Adirondack Room was probably the servant quarters. The Suite has a living room with morning bar, bedroom, and full bath.

Breakfast is an unrushed event, served in our formal dining room or on our three season glassed in porch. Whenever possible we purchase local or organic ingredients and are always happy to accommodate a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.

Rent the Carriage House, a little house just steps away from the property. It has a living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms upstairs with a queen and two twins. Offered by the week, it has an upstairs covered porch with really great views. Rates vary.

We're close to Proctors, Union College, Howe Caverns, great hiking, and historical attractions.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Summer in Mariaville brings some great music festivals and pure pleasure sitting on the lawn and watching the world go by. Two night minimum during these events and on some holiday week-ends.
Canoeing and kayaking on the lake is great fun as is riding bikes on nearby bike trails. Fall and Spring are absolutely gorgeous, and winter offers ice fishing, snowmobiling and a doze by the fire with a book on your lap.
We're close to antiques, caverns, farmer's markets and historical places. And only ten minutes from Schenectady, Union College, and Proctors.
Rent the Carriage House for the week and come and go as you please. Stay during racing season in Saratoga and enjoy peace and quiet. We're about 45 minutes away. Carriage House usually closed November through February or March

The Lakeview Room is decorated in the Federal style with casual elegance. It faces Mariaville Lake and features a fireplace, antique mahogany queen sized bed, large bathroom and a sitting area. A skeleton key opens your door.

The Country Room is done in lemon and fern with lots of light. Our most spacious room has a view of the lake and overlooks our lawns. This private, inviting room features a queen bed, antique mahogany twin bed, sitting area with direct TV, mini fridge.
