The Gilbert Inn is located in the center of Seaside, Oregon, along one of the North Coast's most popular seashore towns. Seaside, with its historic Promenade and Turnaround on the Pacific Ocean, is a great vacation destination. Shops, restaurants, beaches, parks, and museums are all within easy walking distance. This highly rated historic Inn is one block from the ocean, and one block South of Broadway, Seaside's "main street".

The Gilbert Inn, built in 1892, appears almost the same as when Mayor Gilbert built it. It has the original fireplace in the center of the parlor, the natural fir tongue and groove ceilings, and walls throughout the house that still retain their warmth and beauty.

All of the rooms feature private bathrooms, color television and free WiFi Internet Access. Come to the Gilbert Inn for a memorable stay where comfort and tradition mingle.

The Gilbert Inn is located 19 miles south of the Oregon/Washington border, on the scenic Oregon Coast and 80 miles NW of Portland. Shops, restaurants, beaches, parks and museums are all within easy walking distance. Great day trips (including Lewis & Clark and Pacific Coast) may be enjoyed too! The Gilbert Inn is only one block from the ocean, a 90 second walk, and only one block South of Broadway, our main street.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Turret Room was once the Gilbert's sitting room on the second floor, features original Douglas fir ceilings and walls and a bay/turret window with a peek of the Pacific Ocean.

The 1880's Room was the original Gilbert cottage built in 1885. It now features a sitting room and a Queen sized bed. In the 1980's an addition was built around the cottage, making it an integral part of the 1892 house.

The Gilbert Inn has a 7 day cancellation policy. Cancellations within 7 days of booked stay are subject to billing for the entire amount of the reservation. Seeking to provide rest and romance for adults, the Gilbert Inn is not appropriate for children. The Inn cannot accommodate smokers or pets.
