Bed and Breakfast Description

Fox Creek Inn, noted for its warmth and ambiance, fine dining and inviting guest rooms, is nestled on six and one half wooded acres along a bubbling trout stream in the Green Mountains of Vermont, ten minutes north east of Rutland. You'll enjoy the comfort of many fireplaces and Jacuzzi baths, our guest room amenities, our Vermont fresh cuisine, extensive wine selection, and well stocked pub.

Our larger rooms are air conditioned; most have fireplaces and Jacuzzi bath tubs. All rooms have fluffy terry bathrobes and hair dryers.

We take great pride in our food and strive to make your dining experience something you will remember. We serve a full Vermont-style country breakfast.

While there are some excellent restaurants in the area, you may want to take advantage of the delicious four-course candlelit dinner available by reservation. We offer a table d'hote menu which changes each night to take advantage of fresh local produce.

We maintain an excellent wine cellar and can offer wines to suit most tastes and budgets.

Our dining room seats a maximum of 18 people, allowing us to provide a high level of personal service.

Fox Creek Inn is sophisticated and comfortable but never pretentious or stuffy. The atmosphere encourages relaxation and restfulness and offers a location to escape the challenges of day to day work and city living.

Area Attractions and Activities:

If you are the active type, there are many trails to walk or bike, mountains to climb, and lakes to swim or boat in. We also have places to just sit and relax by our stream or inside the Inn.

In the winter months Killington and Pico have plenty of runs for alpine skiers, while a two minute drive to Mountain Top Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Center brings you to more than 80 kilometers of trails for classic and skate skiing. In the summer, Killington boasts more than 45 miles of mountain bike trails with 1700 feet of vertical drop.

We are two miles from the Chittenden Reservoir. This 640-acre mountain lake is the ideal place to spend a warm summer day. Swim, fish or take out a canoe or a kayak.

We have outlets to shop and more antique stores to browse than you could handle in a long vacation. There are museums and galleries to spend your afternoons in, nearby golf courses, and so much more!
