Bed and Breakfast Description

Amethyst Inn is an 1885 Victorian Mansion that is now a 5-Star Bed and Breakfast Inn, located in the heart of Victoria.

Our rooms and suites have period furnishings, and all have private ensuite bathrooms with either clawfoot tubs, two-person soaker tubs or hydro therapy spa tubs.

Our chef prepares a full breakfast each morning, which is served in our Dining Room. Our tables are set with fine china and crystal. Guests are welcome to enjoy a glass of sherry in the Parlor in the evening.

We are a short walk to Craigdarroch Castle, the Art Gallery and the Governor General's Estate. Fine dining restaurants and Antique Row are nearby. Theaters are close, and we have free off-street parking. Our guests find our location convenient and quiet.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Victoria has many activities, wonderful gardens, whale-watching and nature exploring, a fabulous natural history museum, horse and carriage rides, Antique row and a host of interesting places to visit and explore. Victoria is a friendly, easy city to get around in, either with or without a car.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Royal Suite: 700 sq. ft. of luxury, with 13 ft ceilings, antique furnishings, fireplace and stained glass. The bedroom has a Queen Victorian bed and looks out to the garden. The bathroom has a large spa tub for two and crystal chandeliers.

The Regents: Has a king bed, antique furnishings, wet bar, opening skylight, fireplace and sitting area, and has a garden view. The bathroom has an opening skylight and a very large spa tub for two.
