Bed and Breakfast Description

Shields of red and white can be seen on the round stained glass windows as one passes through the gates of the Bacon Mansion Bed and Breakfast. Built in 1909 by Cecil Bacon on Seattle's Capitol Hill, this classical Edwardian Style Tudor shows not only the trademark family crest, but a fine preservation of original woods, 3000 crystal chandelier, marble fireplaces and a treasured library.

Carriage house also available.

Besides a delicious breakfast including a potpourri of cereals, juices, freshly cut up fruit, yogurt, muffins and delicacies, catered lunches, dinners and receptions are also available.

Just a short distance from the Capitol Hill and downtown Seattle commercial districts where you will be sure to enjoy shopping and access to Seattle's many attractions.

The Bacon Mansion is located close to Seattle's renowned Broadway District, Volunteer Park and the Conservatory, the University of Washington Arboretum and Japanese Gardens, Cornish Institute, Virginia Mason and Swedish Hospitals and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Downtown and the University District are but a few minutes away.

Most Popular Rooms:

Capitol Suite: King pine four poster bed with large tub in private bath, Queen bed in sunroom, wet bar, fireplace and winter view of Space Needle.

Emerald Suite: Tiled floors of green and white, large bath and claw foot tub, and a queen sleigh bed are in this enormous and quiet suite. In addition to the large fireplace in front of a hideaway sleeper, the room is bathed in afternoon light.
