There is always a warm welcome at Liberty Hill Farm. This working dairy farm, nestled between the White River and the Green Mountains, provides excellent meals and family activities year round.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Liberty Hill Farm has been an operating dairy farm since 1787, with a current herd of 160 registered Holsteins. You are always welcome to come down to the barn to watch the milking or even help feed the baby calves, or play with the kittens.

The house is all that you would expect of a 150 year-old, 18 room farmhouse - the beautiful butternut moldings in the living room, a big kitchen where everyone congregates, and plenty of elbow room for those who just want to relax and read.

The meals are served family style with everyone sitting down to one table. Dinner, served at 6 p.m., is usually a roast, 3 vegetables, homemade breads, and homemade pies or cakes for dessert. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 a.m. and consists of fruit, juice, bacon and eggs, or pancakes and sausage, homemade coffee cake or muffins.

Including dinner, lodging, and a full breakfast, rates are $110 per adult, and $55 per child under 12, teens are $70 per night.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Hiking, Mt biking, and cross country ski trails start at the front door. Trout fishing along the meadow's edge is superb. There is even a great little swimming hole, a perfect place for a bonfire in the evening while waiting for the stars to come out. VT Green Hotel and VT Fresh Network member. Fresh local food. Cheese trail.

Accommodations consist of seven guestrooms (5 with queen beds, 1 with 4 single beds and 1 with 2 single beds) and 4 shared baths. Children are always welcome at the farm. We have two cribs, a small youth bed, and two high chairs for our younger visitor
