 A tasty Continental breakfast will be stocked in the refrigerator for your convenience. Amenities include fireplace/stove, TV, VCR, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee pot. The Cottage has a wraparound deck and both units have marvelous ocean views. We've just added an outdoor hot tub, with a beautiful ocean view on the lower lawn. "Captain's Quarters" available in conjunction with the Cottage if more space is needed. Area Attractions and Activities: The home is located at the northern edge of Brookings, nine miles north of the California border. There are numerous events and activities throughout the year that cover many interests. These include Salmon Run Golf Course, Beachcomber Festival, Kite Festival, Azalea Festival, 4th of July fireworks, Festival of the Arts, Clam Chowder cook off, Farmers' Markets, November Christmas Bazaar, 3 week long Nature's Coastal Holiday, beachcombing, hiking (including the Oregon Coast Trail), fishing, swimming, jet boat trips up the nearby Rogue River, walking amongst the nearby Redwoods, and more. Sunset Magazine described Brookings as the "Best Beach to Get a Tan." The pristine, semi-private beach lies between two beautiful State Parks; Harris Beach and Lone Ranch. Services: Hot tub/spa with ocean view, gazebo, scenic trail to a semi-private beach. Most Popular Rooms: The Cottage: A suite with a beautiful ocean view, wraparound deck, private entrance and bath, fireplace/stove, and queen size bed. You have use of a hot tub/spa overlooking the ocean on the lower lawn. Captain's Quarters: Sleeps two extra people and has a half bath, full size bed, TV, VCR, and fireplace/stove. Guests in this room have to share the shower in the Cottage. |
