Bed and Breakfast Description

Relax in this unspoiled, natural mountain setting nestled between Fort Mountain State Park and beautiful Carters Lake in the Georgia mountains, just north of Atlanta and southeast of Chattanooga. Enjoy a pleasant walk to our spectacular 50-foot waterfall for a picnic, stroll along the nature trails at Sugar Creek, or hike to the top of the summit to view the Chattahoochee National Forest.

The Hearthstone Lodge is a smoke-free environment for adult guests over 21. We do not allow pets; however there are excellent accommodations nearby for your pet's enjoyment. Our rates include a full gourmet breakfast, light refreshments at 5 PM, and a light dessert after dinner. If you wish to schedule a massage in our private spa please call for an appointment.

Hearthstone provides a feeling of privacy and seclusion with unforgettable accommodations. The lodge features a harmonious blend of traditional and antiques, infused with lodge furnishings handcrafted by local artisans. For your enjoyment, there are fireplaces on all three levels, an inviting sun breakfast room, enormous great-room with exposed beams, antique baby-grand piano, and 25 feet stacked stone fireplace and a bull elk antler chandelier. The Lodge’s formal dining room creates the ambiance to enjoy holiday and special occasion breakfasts. On the private suite level enjoy a 500-volume library and art gallery.

Reservation Notes:

Cancellations will be accepted up to 14 days prior to your stay with a $25. cancellation fee. If you choose to cancel within 14 days yo will be held responsible for the full price of your intended stay. We will make every attempt to rebook your room; if we are successful, there will only be the $25. cancellation fee.
