![]() All of oceanfront Boreas's five private guest rooms feature luxurious linens and amenities, lovely signature robes, beautiful views of the gardens and the ocean, and private baths. Boreas' concierge customer service has twice won Business of the Year Awards from the Better Business Bureau. Their multi-course morning feasts are a culinary treat and have won awards in the Best Breakfast in the NW 2006 category. Imaginative and delicious food is a priority at the Inn. Bill's frittatas highlight the area's bounty from the land and sea including chanterelle, lobster, hedgehog, oyster, & porcini mushrooms. Bill and Susie use smoked salmon, albacore and sturgeon caught by local fishermen. The oysters are from local Willapa and Shoalwater Bays. The great home fries are seasoned with herbs from our garden. Susie's lovingly prepared fresh pastries, sauces and fruit entrees are elaborate and creative. Boreas' pancake entrees are unusual and sumptuous. Ingredients may include raspberry yogurt or nutmeg, ginger, clove and cinnamon. The triple ginger pumpkin pancakes are served with Susie's citrus curd. Special diets are accomodated. Walk Boreas' private trail to the ocean where it intersects the 8-mile long Discovery Trail & .6- mile Long Beach boardwalk, shopping and restaurants. Soak in Boreas's very private spa by the dunes where a single key and a candle in the window assures you of quiet time together. Watch for eagles, laze in the hammocks in the gardens by the dunes. Relax. Area Attractions and Activities: The Long Beach Peninsula, known as "Cape Cod of the West" because of its similarity to the Cape, is home to the nation's longest beach (28 miles). The 8-mile long Discovery Trail is adjacent to Boreas' beach path, a .6 mile-long boardwalk is five blocks south of Boreas, and some of Washington's best restaurants are within a few minutes. Visit Maya Lin's Confluence Project 4 miles south of Boreas (Maya Lin designed the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC) at the Lewis and Clark National and Historic Park. Take in the headlands with 2 spectacular lighthouses in Cape Disappointment State Park and tour the North Head lighthouse. Also in the park, visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. Go salmon, sturgeon, or halibut fishing in the Columbia River or on the ocean. We're the Kite Capital of the world, so fly a kite, go horseback riding on the beach, major birdwatching & whale watching. The Lewis & Clark journey ended here; Boreas Inn sits on the trail where they walked! Services: Sitting room, library, hot tubs, gazebo, decks, reunions/weddings Most Popular Rooms: The Dunes Suite is wonderfully appointed and very restful.
