![]() We invite you to experience our world of gracious elegance, sincere hospitality, and attention to detail and quality in our cozy rooms and extravagant suites. Wander garden pathways surrounding and connecting each of the four turn-of-the-century homes that make up the White Lace Inn. When evening comes, climb into a canopied plantation bed, or an ornate Victorian bed, luxuriously dressed in soft linens, a down comforter, and lots of big pillows. Watch the fire in the fireplace weave its relaxing magic as you listen to your favorite CD on the stereo. Pour a glass of champagne and step into a bubbling whirlpool bath for two. Adding to the romance is the Inn’s location in Wisconsin’s famous Door County Peninsula, which extends out into Lake Michigan. With more than 316 miles of shoreline, the peninsula provides plenty of opportunities for deepwater sport fishing, boating and swimming. Door County has 10 lighthouses, more than any other county in the United States. The County is also home to five state parks. Door County is well supplied with attractive antique, gift and clothing shops, art and craft galleries, summer theaters, including Peninsula Players and American Folklore Theatre, and over 400 apple and cherry orchards. Don't miss one of Door County's famous fish boils, started 100 years ago by the Scandinavian settlers of the peninsula. Area Attractions and Activities: Sturgeon Bay offers a Maritime Museum, Door County Historical Museum, Third Avenue Playhouse, and two art museums. There is also an excellent historical walking tour in town. Three golf courses are nearby and many others within Door County. Other activities include carriage rides, horseback riding, sailing and fishing charters as well as boat rentals, kayak tours, scenic airplane rides, and sunset concert cruises. Services: Sitting room, gazebo, gardens, fireplaces, whirlpools, TV/VCRs, Wi-Fi Most Popular Rooms: Romantic Retreat: A charming mix of floral fabrics in apricot and green decorate the windows, a Victorian loveseat, and four-poster canopy bed. A TV is hidden above the fireplace, and you can view both from the beautiful bed or relaxing whirlpool. The Hideaway: This second story hideaway has lots of old-fashioned charm, starting with its moss green and peach color scheme. A down-filled chaise lounge faces the fireplace and is across from the beautifully carved 1870's Victorian mahogany bed. |
