Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Boothbay, Maine bed and breakfast: Hodgdon Island Inn

The Hodgdon Island Inn was originally built by a successful and prosperous fisherman in the 1800’s. The original part of the house is two hundred years old. The eye-catching Italianate addition was constructed in the mid 1800’s. Generations of the Hodgdon Family enjoyed living in the house until the late 1980’s when it became a Bed & Breakfast Inn.

The inn reflects a casual, tasteful elegance. It's dominant views are westward looking and each room is painted to frame the magnificent Maine sunsets in pinks and blues, and to echo the shoreline hues of gold and green. In addition to enjoying the first floor common rooms, guests may relax on the porch, explore the grounds and stroll down to the water’s edge, or take a dip in our beautiful heated in-ground pool.

We have nine uniquely decorated rooms appointed in a contemporary-traditional style, all with private baths plus in room amenities including luxury pillow-top beds; Egyptian cotton towels and linens; quality bath products, soft fluffy robes, alarm clocks and hair dryers, refrigerators and free wireless Internet. Several rooms include upgraded amenities such as flat panel televisions, a whirlpool spa tub, or cozy electric fireplaces. All rooms offer water views. Special touches include fresh flowers.

The Hodgdon Island Inn is the perfect choice for a vacation, honeymoon, romantic getaway, family reunion, get-together with old friends, and/or a business trip.
