Bed and Breakfast Description

The Merlin Guesthouse is a gated property with five buildings that surround a private courtyard and pool. The main building opened as a rooming house in the 1930's, serving navy personnel stationed at Fort Zachary Taylor. Over the next decades the rooming house went through many incarnations, from gambling house to bordello, and today we are happy to say that it has been stylishly restored to cozy guest rooms. During the 1980's previous owners purchased four 'conch' style homes adjacent to the guesthouse and currently our property showcases twenty guest units,including private cottages, some with kitchens, which provide a variety of accommodations. Merlin Guesthouse is named after a local 'conch' named Merlin Albury, who is now buried at the Key West Cemetery.

Merlin Guesthouse offers a range of prices and room amenities. Standard rooms offer an excellent price and queen-size, four-poster beds. King Suites offer extra comfort and romance. Cottage units offer a variety of layouts that are comfortable for families or friends.
