Camden, Maine bed and breakfast: Camden Windward House
Constructed in 1854 by Elijah Glover, a prominent local shipbuilder and lumberman, the Windward House is one of the finest examples of Victorian architecture with Greek revival features along the mid-coast of Maine. This stately home opened its doors to guests in 1924 and throughout the years has been lovingly restored to its original graciousness and beauty.

Our guests enjoy several common areas. The living room with its original soapstone fireplace welcomes guests while the cozy library with a quiet reading area is filled with books and games for all to enjoy. Afternoons bring tea and popovers in the beautiful gardens with Mt. Battie as the backdrop to a picturesque afternoon.

Warm hospitality and bountiful breakfasts await guests at this 1854 Greek revival, a stylish B&B that has been upgraded into a handsome property. The breakfast is a highlight, offering a choice of items and a choice of times at which to partake... Each morning brings the inn’s delicious full-menu breakfast featuring seasonal fresh fruit, traditional Down east entrees and scrumptious daily specials. All dishes are made to order from fresh local ingredients.

We now have two signature suites: The Quarterdeck Deluxe Balcony room, which features cathedral ceilings, large balcony chairs and expansive views of Mt. Battie. Jacuzzi whirlpool tub and separate shower, king bed, fireplace, DVD player, coffee pot, large flat screen tv and much more.
