Bed and Breakfast Description

Of our five lovely rooms, 4 have waterviews and balconies, all have private baths, TVs, A/C, and queen or king sized beds with down comforters or colorful quilts.

Guests rave about the charming decor and excellent housekeeping. From our pier, you can dangle your feet in the cool Atlantic, dive in for a refreshing swim and watch lobster boats hauling their traps. You'll see a variety of seabirds, and, once in a while, a seal swimming by.

Delicious breakfast each morning includes freshly brewed coffee, juice, tea or cocoa, fresh fruit, homemade granola, yogurt, homemade muffins and pastries, and a hot entree such as blueberry Dutch babies with cinnamon apples, blueberry blintzes with raspberry sauce, baked orange French toast topped with orange honey butter, baked cheesy omelet and sausage.

Area Attractions and Activities:

A 5-minute walk brings you to the village's fine antique, craft, and souvenir shops, excellent dining, and boat excursions including your host family's Balmy Days Cruises. Our excursions can take you aboard the Balmy Days II to the famous fishing village, Monhegan Island, where you can experience everything you came to the Maine Coast to see or do.

Our boats also offer scenic boat tours, on the Novelty, around the Harbor and sailing trips on the Friendship Sloop, Bay Lady. Scenic drives, hiking, lobsters.

Most Popular Rooms:

Balmy Days Room: A very private, quiet room with king size poster bed, large picture window looking across a rock garden to the water. This room has a private entrance and private bath. TV.

May Archer: Has a lovely second floor view looking south toward the Bay and islands from 5 windows, a balcony accessed through French doors and is decorated with soft rose wall covering, hardwood floors. Private bath. The bed is a queen.
