Bed and Breakfast Description

Known as a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts all four seasons, the Lodge is a great place to stay to enjoy your favorite activity -- hiking, biking, golf, skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Whatever your sport, you'll find it here.

The Lodge has nine guest rooms, many with fireplaces, steam showers and two person Jacuzzi tubs. Each room has all of the amenities you'll need for a comfortable getaway. With queen or king-size double pillowtop mattresses, you'll find the beds to be extremely comfortable.

Filled with comfortable furniture and a soapstone wood stove, our inviting great room offers spectacular mountain views and affords our guests the opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxing setting or play a game of checkers by the soaring windows. The loft area above the great room has a quiet sitting area stocked with various reading materials. High speed wireless Internet access is available.

Each morning you'll start your day with the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee, always ready by 6:30 for our early risers. Enjoy that first cup in the greatroom or expansive deck as the sun rises over Mount Washington.

The expansive deck off the greatroom is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over Mt. Washington. If you're up early enough you can try to catch a glimpse of our resident wildlife - moose, deer, wild turkey and the occasional black bear cross through the back yard.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Surrounded by The White Mountain National Forest, Bear Mountain Lodge guests can enjoy four seasons of outdoor fun.

Enjoy a walk, take a long ride or enjoy a round of golf with some of nature's most gorgeous scenery as your backdrop. The view of Mt. Washington and Twin Mountain from our great room is incredible. The drive north on Route I-93 through Franconia Notch to Route 302 in Bethlehem on to Bretton Woods and Crawford Notch offers some of the most picturesque sites to capture the stunning New England colors and wildlife.

In the winter you can enjoy alpine skiing and snowboarding at Cannon Mountain, Alpine, cross-country, snowboarding and snowshoeing at Bretton Woods, or snowmobile directly from our property. The Mount Agassiz Snowmobile Club grooms a great trail that connects up to The White Mountain National Forest to all trails north and south.

In the spring and summer you can go hiking, biking and fishing at Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch State Parks.

Most Popular Rooms:

Moose Hollow: This first floor room features a queen size iron bed, log walls and a fantastic view of Mt. Washington through the triple windows. The bathroom features a tub/shower and vanity with a beautiful copper sink.

Wild Turkey: Our largest ground level suite is setup with romance in mind featuring a king-size handmade aspen log bed, stone fireplace and in-room Jacuzzi tub for 2. The sliding doors offer a fantastic view to Mt. Washington and backyard access.
