 Each day begins with the early morning smells of freshly brewed coffee, tea, and the aroma of the savory or sweet starters and entrees that Paula prepares daily. Enjoy a full breakfast, including fruit, juice, entree, sweet or savory. Dine in our private dining room at your own table or with your friends. When you return to the inn after the day's activities, take a swim in our heated pool, or use the year-round hot tub, walk the grounds and enjoy the gardens, or sit in one of the Adirondack chairs or hammock on the Inn's 5+ acres and doze. In the cooler months, have your afternoon tea and sweets in front of the fire in the Mt. Surprise Room or in our formal living room with wood burning fireplace, piano and more. At different times throughout the year Special Packages and Events are offered. No matter what season you visit us in, the range of activities and sightseeing is extensive. The country atmosphere is retained throughout the 1820s farmhouse with wide pine floors, antiques, period stenciling, and quilts. In the cooler months, afternoon tea can be sipped in front of the fire in either the living room or the more casual atmosphere of the lower level family room. For your convenience, the family room is equipped with a guest refrigerator, TV/VCR, movies, games, books and magazines. Area Attractions and Activities: Hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, downhill & cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Mt. Washington, Great Glen Trails, Birding, 6 area golf courses, maple sugaring, craft shows, antiquing, waterfalls, covered bridges, photography. Services: Large common rooms with fireplaces, heated pool, Hot Tub,TV/DVD's, Free WiFi, Fridge Most Popular Rooms: #10: Room with two-person Jacuzzi, gas fireplace, sitting area, TV, lovely cherry four poster bed, all cherry Shaker furniture. This room is also wheelchair accessible and has a private entrance. Room 6: Queen bed, day bed plus trundle and sitting area with TV and DVD, tub/shower bath. |
