Originally built as a summer estate nearly a century ago by William G. Wilcox, a prominent United States statesman, the grand house was almost completely surrounded by water with the Atlantic Ocean on one front and a tranquil seaside lagoon on the other. From the broad veranda of this stately home, Wilcox could watch the sparkling sea, smell the fresh salty air and hear the sounds of the surf and the cries of gulls.

In the spring and summer, rock contentedly as you watch the sea from the grand veranda. For those quiet moments in the fall and winter, warm yourself in front of the many fireplaces.

After a relaxing day of enjoying the surf and sand, strolling the quiet boardwalk, biking, or just savoring the fabulous water views from the veranda, return to your charming antique filled bedroom. All bedrooms, from the larger sea view to the cozy gabled rooms, are charming and comfortably appointed to preserve the traditional charm of a bygone era. All have modern private baths and some feature fireplaces and jacuzzis.

For unique fun, your visit to Cashelmara Inn would not be complete without a visit to the Grand Victorian Cinema. When the curtain opens, grab a bag of popcorn and relax comfortably in your velvet seat watching movies in fabulous THX surround sound.

Suite 12: This 2 room suite offers a private sitting room with gas log fireplace. The bedroom has a queen size canopy bed with lake & ocean views. There is access to the front veranda. Enjoy the deluxe bathroom with a large jacuzzi for 2 & separate shower

Room 24: This is a large, front corner room with a panoramic view of the lake and ocean from king size bed. This room includes a private bath, refrigerator, A/C or fireplace and TV.

Reservation Notes:

Rates are for two persons per bedroom. Several rooms can accommodate an extra person. Well-behaved children are welcome. $50.00 per night per extra person in the room. Rates do not include New Jersey sales tax or gratuity and are subject to change without notice.
