Charles City, Virginia bed and breakfast: North Bend Plantation
The main house survives as the best preserved and purest expression of the academic Greek Revival Style, located in Charles City County.

This plantation is home to and remains under cultivation by descendants of Edmund Ruffin (noted agriculturist and sounderner who fired the first shot of the Civil War at Fort Sumter April 1861), and of William Henry Harrision, the 9th President of the United States.

The full breakfast, served in the dining room, features heirloom china and silver.
