Overlooking beautiful Lake Waramaug, our newly restored 1870 farmhouse offers an ideal location for a relaxing getaway. Less than a two hour drive from New York City, historic Litchfield County is waiting to be explored.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Our four guest rooms are elegantly decorated with fine antiques, comfortable reading chairs, and luxurious beds. The bed & breakfast has many quiet corners, unwind in the garden hammock with a good book, relax with a cup of tea by the fire in the living room, or enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine on the porch. However you chose to spend your stay we’re sure you will leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Picnicing at the lake is our favorite thing to do in the summer. We’ll happily arrange a delicious picnic for you and even supply the blanket. Our pristine and spacious waterfront property is available to enjoy for those of our guests who choose to take advantage of all that The Sachem Farmhouse B&B has to offer.

Guests rave about the farmhouse breakfasts and appreciate that we choose many fine local and organic ingredients. We collect organic eggs daily from our own heritage breed chickens, if you haven’t tasted truly fresh eggs then you’re in for a treat!

We’ve made Lake Waramaug our home for many years and welcome the chance to share our knowledge of the area with you to ensure a wonderful visit.

We’ve lived in the area for many years and welcome any questions you may have while planning your trip.There are so many different activities to choose from. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and movie theaters for the night time.

Connecticut is rich with outdoor activities from light for those just looking to get out in nature or more difficult for the avid outdoor folks. From hiking, to biking, to golfing, to skiing there is something for everyone.

There are also many farms around the area perfect for family outings.
