Des Moines, Washington.

Bay Manor, is a handsome, turn of the century, three story red brick house. It stands in an acre of land, and has stunning views of the snow capped Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Des Moines, Washington bed and breakfast: Elsie's Bay Manor

Although all modern conveniences have been added, care has been taken to retain the ambiance of days gone by, evidenced by the blend of antique and traditional furniture. The welcome is friendly, guests are greeted with a hot or cold beverage, and as one guests said “we feel really at home here”.

At times, the Sound is quite busy with freighters and pleasure and sail boats. Redondo, close to Seattle, is a small waterfront community, with its own general store and post office. Salty's, on the waterfront, a well known restaurant, has beautiful views, and is a short walk away.

Seattle does experience some soft falling rain, so you may want to bring a light raincoat, and for the sunny weather, bring sunscreen. Our goal is to ensure that you enjoy your visit to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

The cozy bedroom has a sound and mountain view, queen size bed, and to keep you warm and cozy, an electric blanket, and hot water bottle. You have your own shower, toilet and hand basin, and plenty of large fluffy towels. Antique furniture, reminds us of a bygone era,

Guests may find themselves awakened by the sound of seagulls, and on occasion a visit by an eagle. Facilities for making hot chocolate tea or coffee are provided. There is a small fridge and microwave for guests' use. An office is available for complimentary Internet connection.
