 AAA 4 Diamonds. The Bar Harbor Tides is an intimate Inn that offers three luxurious suites with sweeping views of Frenchman Bay, elegant formal parlors, private baths, and fireplaces. Elegantly appointed suites on the water with spectacular ocean views, and in-town Bar Harbor. Gourmet breakfasts served on the veranda overlooking Frenchman Bay. One of the greatest attractions of the Tides is our unique location. We offer the convenience of being in town (a short 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants and shops, a 4 masted schooner moored at the town pier, and all that there is to do in a wonderful small New England harbor town); and, the intimate privacy of an acre and a half on the water. Reservations for the summer and fall are recommended well in advance, as The Tides is usually full for most of June through the end of October. There is a minimum stay of two nights. Area Attractions and Activities: Acadia National Park, whale watching, hiking, biking, Schooner sailing, fabulous restaurants, nature cruises, shopping, golf. Services: Sitting room, 2nd floor guest living room with gas fireplace Most Popular Rooms: The Master Suite: Very romantic with massive 4 poster king bed, overlooking the sea, working gas fireplace, private living room with cable TV & luxurious bath with Victorian clawfoot tub & separate, extra-large modern tile shower. The Ocean Suite: Waterviews from every room including the formal parlor and bedroom. The bedroom is graced by a mahogany queen size four poster bed that is enveloped in a beautiful floral sheer fabric. Fall asleep before the warmth of a burning fireplace. |
