Aloha Place- Inn of Volcano offers elegant, upcountry accommodations comprised of exquisitely appointed rooms. The expansive lanai is wonderful for afternoon reading or gathering with acquaintances.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Aloha Place- Inn of Volcano features a wood burning stove in the lobby available to all guests and also serves as an art gallery with numerous original local artists' works and is ideal for relaxing in front of the fire on cool nights. There is FREE unlimited use of high speed internet access 24/7 where you may check your email or take advantage of our wireless in the privacy of your accommodation.

The Innkeeper specializes in the art of Hawaiian Quilting and displays of her work can be seen throughout the Inn. Please inquire regarding onsite instruction and be sure to allow at least 20 hours per instruction project.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Volcano, at the doorstep to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (#1 State attraction) is your central location for touring all of East Hawaii. Spend several days in the Park exploring numerous craters, lava viewing and endless miles of scenic hiking trails.
Volcano Village has much to offer - beautiful botanical gardens for those who wish to view an exquisite array of colorful orchids, exotic flowers and anthuriums; an 18 hole golf course; a local winery; art galleries; farmer's market on Sundays; gift shops; restaurants, just to list a few. In addition, there are many things to do and places to see, all within an hour's drive.
A short trip to the Southern most tip of the island (and the United States) takes you past old sugar cane towns to black and green sand beaches.
A trip to the Eastern most point of the island takes you to Pahoa. Beyond Pahoa you can find spatter cones, tide pools, hot ponds, and lava trees while driving down one of the most beautiful roads

Most Popular Rooms:

The Aloha Room is located on the ground floor and is utilized most often by single guests, those staying only briefly overnight, or in need of handicapped assistance. The rainforest is viewed to one side and a parking stall for easy access to the other.

The Birds of Paradise Room is our family accommodation with a king bed in the master and two bunk beds with a teak crib in the adjoining bedroom (6 guests). Perfect for mom and dad and the kids get their own room! The rainforest is just outside the door.
