Bed and Breakfast Description

Enjoy a full breakfast in our formal dining room or at poolside in the warm season. Relax in the music room in front of the fire, where you will find a digital baby grand piano, a turn of the century player organ, an extensive collection of Civil War memorabilia, and many board games, card games, and antique books.

From May through September, swim and sun in the heated in-ground swimming pool and relax on the mini beach! Hear, see, and feel nature as you stroll the garden paths that meander around the scenic ponds, statuary, garden railroad and mini beaches. Warm up on cool outdoor evenings as you sit in front of a crackling chiminea fire on the mini beach or by the pond.

Because the house may have been on the Underground Railroad, we have taken it back in time to the Civil War era. The Red Lincoln Room houses the Northern uniform of the 55th New York Artillery Irish Brigade and other artifacts and sword of the North while the Green Southern Room is home to the Confederate uniform of the 10th South Carolina Artillery and artifacts and sword of the Confederacy.

The Blue Room connects the North and South sides of the house and so is called the Mason/Dixon Suite. It is 2 connecting rooms with 1 bath that has a private Jacuzzi tub, 2 TV's, and will sleep up to 7 people.

If you need to melt away the stresses of daily life then try out the 2 person FarInfrared sauna and large Jacuzzi whirlpool tub in the Oriental spa bathroom.

As you enter the Green Confederate Room, you will immediately feel the elegance of the South with the high queen canopy bed, Oriental rug, rose garland, five windows, and green striped walls.

The country charm of the Red Union Room is evident when you enter to find the birdseye maple double bed and furnishings. The country red wall offers a backdrop for the Civil War artifacts and view of the pool. Another room where old meets new.
